Well, it was long
ago when I published my latest blog, we have been living times which
affected every single person in the world. Changes, that no one would ever have expected. And every time I repeat to myself “it will never be
the same again”. Well, it won’t, but let’s turn those changes
into opportunities. And on this note, I
made up my mind to become a SEO expert, without realizing how
interesting and important it is. Never in the history people craved
reliable information so much, and search engines know about it.Does your website
provide high quality content? Is it trustworthy and reliable? If so
you should be rewarded with better ranking, shouldn’t you?
SEO is a Marathon!
SEO is an endless process, it takes time, so be patient.
Well, search engines
and SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) are always changing, meaning
your strategy should also change.
Take the time you
need to create your strategy. Research keywords to create valuable
content for your readers. Put yourself in your customers’ shoes to
discover their intent. The content should be clear, qualitative, the
one people trust. It should benefit both: users and search engines.
Why SEO is Important?
Google is the
largest search engine in the world and SEO is a free traffic, the
traffic that converts well. So why not use it at its best?
But what to focus on
when it comes to SEO? Well, first of all you should build an
authoritative website, - a website, that provides value consistently
over time. It should also load quickly and be user-friendly.
Optimizing Your Website for SEO
There is no right
way to structure your website, one structure cannot work for
everyone. It should be logical and easy to navigate. Remember how
many times you visited a website and couldn’t find what you meant
to. Imagine, search engines analyze millions of websites, and it’s
your job to analyze your specific audience’s behaviors. Also,
search engines will not recommend a poor site to anyone.
On-page (aka
“on-site”) SEO should be prioritized. Headlines,
subheadlines, URL slugs, meta tags fall into this category. You
cannot do much with off-page SEO if you don’t pay attention to the
fundamentals - your on-page SEO.
Every keyword should
be optimized for one web page. It should appear in your headline,
preferably as close to the beginning as possible, in the slug, in
subheadline, throughout the body copy. You can use a mix of keywords
and LSI (Latest Semantic Indexing) keywords – variations of your
keyword throughout your content.
As for
off-page (aka “off-site”) SEO, it refers to different ways you
optimize your website via external means – social media, guest
blogging, business directories, influencer marketing. Find link
building opportunities. It’s important to focus on backlinks with
high page authority, and remember backlinks to your site show how
trustworthy you are. (I’ll cover more on/off page SEO in my next
blog, so stay tuned!)
When you are done
with website optimization, you can immediately see greater
conversions, even if you have low traffic.
